DESIGN ASSOCIATIONS
From the beginning of 20th century the main purpose of
new designers and architects was to promote a functional
and aesthetic union between industry, the manufacturing
sectors and applied arts to produce objects which should be
pleasant and functional at the same time, in a new contest
creating a new conception of ordinary life.
The protagonists of that time joined their forces to hit
the mark. Starting from Bauhaus teaching example, they got
organized in associations like ADI or institutions like the
Triennale di Milano and creating one of the most important
international design award called "Compasso d'Oro".
